Development Application support
Tailored support for your project
We can provide a range of services and support to help you navigate the complexities of a Development Application (DA) for your potential property or project. This will allow you to be fully informed about any potential issues when entering into the planning process.
- We can prepare a detailed report for any property you are considering purchasing or an existing property you own that you wish to submit a DA on, including for knock down-rebuilds, subdivision and building extensions. By starting the ecological assessment process early, you can avoid surprises down the track.
- We can help you and your architect develop a plan that has the best chance of approval by identifying the most appropriate and efficient design on the property, avoiding potential environmental constraints as well as providing advice on additional reports that may be required.
- Our reports address all relevant environmental constraints you may encounter during the DA stage. We include maps that show the most constrained parts and least constrained parts of the property, along with detailed information on any potential problems and the best way to avoid, mitigate or offset them in order to facilitate the development.
We ensure all relevant environmental legislation is addressed in our reports. This includes but is not limited to:
- Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act)
- Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016
- May include an Assessment of Significance (5-part Test)
- Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
- May include an Assessment of Significance Impact Criteria
- Biosecurity Act 2015
- State Environmental Planning Policy (Coastal Management) 2018
- State Environmental Planning Policy (Koala Habitat Protection) 2021
- State Environmental Planning Policy No. 19 - Bushland in Urban Areas
- State Environmental Planning Policy (Vegetation in Non-rural Areas) 2017
- Water Management Act 2000
- Fisheries Management Act 1994
